I live here on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, but I grew up in the rugged New England Ranges of NSW a land of broad valleys, mountains, big skies and crystal clear light. These early experiences of the extraordinary Australian landscape and bush, abstract distance and intimate close ups, inform all of my work.
As an artist, I am passionate about the emotion of colour and the movement of line. Having a curious nature I love to experiment with my art; I am inspired by the mystery of stepping into the unknown, to see what I can find. Often working intuitively, I use layers and mixed media to explore the world around me and also my inner landscapes woven with the threads of memory and connections.
My work can include many diverse art making techniques such as Printmaking, Painting, Collage, Drawing and Digital Processes. Today’s Printmaking technology allows for contemporary art to be accessible to a broad audience and also the exciting possibilities of playing with scale.
